His current owners rescued him a few years ago and told us that "when we went to see him in that herd he had the look of a horse who had given up on life, was full of worms and about 250lbs or more underweight". He sure doesn't look it these days!
He gets along with other horses, is good for tacking and mounting, hauls, leads, etc. Baxter goes both Western and English. He is sound (click here for video) and does walk, trot and canter with ease. He has a lot of energy and can be forward, but is also very calm and cool. He is a real sweetheart! He is good with kids and leads with very young children on him. He really enjoys fun arena work and trail riding. He would be best suited to a confident beginner rider, preferably one who weighs less than 200lbs.
