What remains now is a beautiful unfolding of their new lives.
"Apollo has been doing great with his feet. He always lets me pick them out. He also have great ground manners. I can crawl under him and he doesn't even mind! I have also been riding him a lot. I'm doing walk/ trot right now. He's even learning how to bow! He learns so fast and I am so thankful to say that I own this beautiful boy. He's a one in a million horse."
"Nigel has come a long way from when he first arrived with us. We may not be able to ride him yet but he has made friends with the other horses and loves being able to run and play with them. He loves treats and scratches on the neck but is still unsure about having his back end touched. We love our guy very much and look forward to a very long and happy relationship with him."
"The boys arrived home last week and since then Candice and myself have been working on gaining trust. To our surprise Freedom is actually more willing than magic at this time. If you show him something and he sees its not scary he settles down very nicely. Magic still needs a bit more trust building. The boys had a farrier appointment on Saturday; Freedom did excellent with minimal problems and wanted to rest his head on my shoulder the entire time. Magic's front feet got trimmed but he has issue letting people touch his back hooves. We scheduled a follow up appointment and this week is focused on trust and getting Magic to let somebody pick up his back feet. All and all both horses really are sweethearts who need TLC. Each have very unique personalities which we are enjoying finding out."
I can't thank our followers, supporters, donors and adopters enough for helping to bring these boys to safety and working to get them on their way. They are very special and so are their new families.
