Today was her fourth ride over all and she did awesome! One more reason we love Standardbreds. She is respectful, focused and is a very smart girl. She was quiet for mounting, super willing and we even did a bit of canter for the first time! She is responsive to the rein, only needing a light touch, and is also picking up how to move off the leg. She even side-stepped for me quite nicely when asked.
She does great in the ring or on the trails. She is good with dogs barking, horses racing around, etc and has no problem walking over poles, through mud, water and bridges.
She is forward, but soft and easy and was very happy to get out. She is still learning, but she is such an awesome and smart little mare. She wasn't even sweating after her session.
Gale would do great with an intermediate rider to finish her training and build a bond with her.
