She decided that they were no longer a good fit and we re-posted James on our site as adoptable through his adoptive home in February.
James had great meeting mid June 2013 with the family who used to own him. They had surrendered him to the rescue back in 2011 due to financial issues at the time. They have always kept an eye on him over the years and had made a point of keeping in touch with his adopters.
James most definitely remembered them and it wasn't hard to see that he loves them too. It was heartwarming to watch them all interact. In fact, in his 'Shake-a-Hoof' video, they were the ones who initially taught him the trick :) They all missed him and, even better, they were able and willing to give him a home again.
So, after a roundabout journey, James is heading back home on Sunday to be where he belongs. It really is beautiful how life sometimes comes full circle.
Like the saying goes "if you love something, set it free. If it comes back, it's meant to be..."
