With the hay and grain bills continuing at roughly $1,000 a month and with no horses being adopted and no funds coming into the rescue, we are currently facing financial difficulty. We are being forced to consider temporarily shutting down the rescue to get our finances under control. J&M Acres does not receive any outside funding from the government or any other organizations, it is strictly run on donations and adoption fees and while we and our families have committed much of our own funds to the cause, we are not made of money.
We have a horse or two waiting to come into the rescue right now and there are many more out there who may need a place to go, but unfortunately we cannot continue to operate in the red... So, we are asking for your donations and your support while we continue to work to rehome our current adoptables and to help us raise the funds necessary to allow us to remain open to take in new cases.
We also need to get the paddocks re-done before the end of the Summer in order to be able to provide a comfortable environment for horses in need and the reality is that cost will be an upwards of $5,000.
Thank you to everyone who has continued to support us throughout the years. Without your help, we wouldn't be able to do what we do. J&M Acres is not just us but it is a community and without your help, it does not exist.
