In lieu of Father's Day, we would like to do something a little different. We have chosen a few of our male adopters over the years featured below with their J&M Acres adoptees.
We hope you enjoy this special shout out to our equine Dad's. They may be fewer than our equine Mom's, but they are just as great! We hope that next years list of featured Dad's is much longer:
Buddy is an approximately 15 year old Paint gelding pictured here with his awesome Dad, Jeff. Buddy was given up due to having cancer in his right eye, but after a successful surgery and a short foster stint with Jeff and his wife, he was quickly adopted as part of their family.
Rio was adopted August 25, 2012, pictured here with his awesome Dad, Ron. He is living in the Kooteneys and has become quite a rescue horse advocate with his adoptive Father who continues to spread the word for rescue horses and support J&M Acres. Most recently with his participation in the Bloomsday Run just this year.
Geronimo (previously Chip) was adopted out to to a different family before he was re-adopted to his forever home. Here he is pictured with his awesome Dad, Lance. Geronimo has been loving his new life and is keeping his new Dad quite busy, but they couldn't be a better match.
New boy King (aka Thatshowthkingrols) is pictured here with his newly adoptive Dad, Ross. His wife has been looking for a suitable husband horse and came across King. She met him first and when Ross came to meet him the next week after Rachel approved him as a good potential match for her husband, they instantly clicked. He has since been re-named "Elvis" because he is such a cool cat and we are so excited to see his lief unfold under the love and care of his new equine Dad!
