Digger is not for adoption, but he is in need of a foster home.
He needs a nice local place with lots of grass and a mellow buddy or two to hang out with and enjoy his retirement. Although we love having him here it is tough for an old guy to be on our pasture as he is low an the totem pole and with so many horses coming and going, we know he will get picked on.
At the time, Julie had a very nice Paint Horse that she was riding, but she ended up buying Digger because she felt sorry for him. She also had a friend who had been looking into getting a horse for her daughter and with Digger's history and being well-broke, Julie thought it would be a good match.
However, after only a few steps into her first ride on this one-eyed spunky man, she fell in love with him and he has been with her for the last 17 years. When he was younger, he went out with Julie to compete in western pleasure and barrel racing events (which they won many of). He is now a spunky old fart. He still loves McDonald's french fries though!
