He is a 6 year old Standardbred who stands 15.3hh. He is registered as "Steel Town". He was adopted three years ago, but due to a change in his adopters' circumstances she cannot give him the attention and time he needs.
Below is her description of where he is at and what he needs in a new home:
He has come leaps and bounds and is a beautiful gentle soul as you can see, I trust him with my children. We have only walked and trotted to this point. Chucks past is unknown, due to the nature of his rescue - since we know he is from Alberta but was rescued at the Langley Auction before he turned three. What we do know is that there must have been some abuse. He takes some time to trust and, once he does, he needs constant attention to keep it. Unfortunately at this time I am doing him no justice as I don't have daily time to devote to him. He is eager to learn and could excel in any discipline, but he does need constant attention or regresses very quickly. He's really a sweetheart and deserves his forever home to love him for who he is and understand that he has a hard time with these past demons. If handled regularly he will have no problems. He is currently barefoot and has strong feet. He is UTD on teeth and deworming.
UPDATE: Chuck's adopters have decided to keep him and work it out. We are thrilled!
