LOCATION: Maple Ridge, BC
ADOPTION FEE: $500
Valse Triste TW is a registered, purebred 2004 Arabian mare. She is a small girl who measures 13.3hh and is around 700lbs with a nice build! She was adopted in June 2015, but unfortunately has to come back as she had a hard time through Winter at home in Cranbrook and her adopter doesn’t feel it fair to put her through another. She is healthy, but was very chilly last winter requiring double-blankets, etc. The adopters do not have a closed stable and couldn’t find one in to board her at, so we are looking to find her a new home.
Valse has had two foals in her past and is by Trilogy and out of Ariadne CF. You can find more details on her breeding here. She will come with her papers, but will not be adopted out as a broodmare. She is darling and very sweet with a quiet personality. Her adopters noted that “we have had her now for over a year and can say that she is a great little horse! She has the potential for an amazing trail horse and even could compete in trail classes”.
Despite her small stature, Valse is not suitable for children at this time. She is best suited for a small adult (preferably female) who is confident and experienced around horses. Valse is very quiet and not much phases her, but she does have a fair bit of go and is still quite green. Also, she does not respond to the bit at all, but does great in a rope halter! She is a smart little girl and learns quickly; she lunges both ways and has been out on the trails a bunch of times since being adopted. She has been across bridges and gone through mud puddles and responds nicely to the leg and goes into a trot with hardly any effort.
This is a really lovely little girl who would do great with her own person and a chance to bond with them. She is currently best suited to an intermediate to experienced rider/owner, but may have potential as a kids horse in the future with some more training.
She will be coming back to our farm in Maple Ridge this weekend and will be available for adoption once more. Her adoption fee is $500 with a signed adoption fee and a 2-week trial period.
