Zeke
Zeke is a 16hh, 9 year old, Thoroughbred gelding sired by "Musing".
He is an orphan whose owner passed away. The family wanted to keep him, but were unable to and so they surrendered him to J&M Acres in November 2010. He had been ridden steadily by his elderly owner until two years ago when she passed.
He was then taken on a trial adoption on December 5, 2010 and he now has a forever home with them. Even her husband has taken a liking to Zeke. We are very happy that this big guy has found a new family.
Letter From His New Mom:
Yes, Brad really has taken to liking him. At first Zeke was for me to hang out with and work on, but now he has become a family affair. We are with him for nearly the whole day 3 days a week and just I go out the other 4 days.
My husband who swore he was not into horses will stand at the fence getting all worried and upset if and of the other horses try to remind Zeke of the pecking order in the herd. It is cute. Plus, Brad wont leave the property till he gives him a carrot every time!
This horse is a character. His favorite person in our family is my 9 month old baby. When she is there in her stroller he always goes to her and puts his muzzle in her lap! She will pet his nose or pull his lil hairs and he just waits.
