Rio's original name was Teddy. He was rescued from auction by J&M Acres a few months ago. He is a gorgeous and cuddly little 3 Y/O Thoroughbred who was on his way to the meat man. When J&M Acres first got him, he was quite thin, but after a few weeks in a large field, he was able to gain some of the weight back. Rio was one of the sweetest horses we have had at the rescue and wanted nothing more then to sit in your lap.

He was just adopted in September 2010 and is now living happily at his new home! He is currently being trained as a polo pony!
