She was adopted in June 2015, but unfortunately has to come back as she had a hard time through Winter at home in Cranbrook and her adopter doesn’t feel it fair to put her through another. She is healthy, but was very chilly last winter requiring double-blankets, etc. The adopters do not have a closed stable and couldn’t find one in to board her at, so we are looking to find her a new home.
Despite her small stature, Valse is not suitable for children at this time. She is best suited for a small adult (preferably female) who is confident and experienced around horses. Valse is very quiet and not much phases her, but she does have a fair bit of go and is still quite green. Also, she does not respond to the bit at all, but does great in a rope halter! She is a smart little girl and learns quickly; she lunges both ways and has been out on the trails a bunch of times since being adopted. She has been across bridges and gone through mud puddles and responds nicely to the leg and goes into a trot with hardly any effort.
She will be coming back to our farm in Maple Ridge this weekend and will be available for adoption once more. Her adoption fee is $500 with a signed adoption fee and a 2-week trial period. Contact us today or click here to submit an adoption application if you are interested in this sweet little lady!
UPDATE [SEPT 8, 2016]: Happy to announce Valse will be heading to a new home this weekend instead of coming into the rescue :) Her new mom comes highly recommended by the breeder and already has an Arabian mare of similar lineage. Her current adopters had a chance to speak with her directly and all of us are very happy for our little lady! She will be heading there this weekend.
