Unfortunately, before his prior owner got him (the one who surrendered him to us), his condition was left untreated and so while he may have minimal flare-ups now, they are on the extreme end of the scale.
We took him into Paton Vet Clinic today for a more in-depth assessment of what is going on. They did a full run-down on him and an ultrasound and found that he has some lung damage from his COPD and is definitely fighting an infection. They have now put him on several different antibiotics to try and clear it up.
Our main priority right now is fixing this infection and getting him on the mend.
