Prior till now, we have only done walk with him because his toes are too short to justify doing anything more, but we found an old pair of Cavello boots amongst our equipment yesterday that fit him perfectly! So for the first time, we were able to do the whole trail loop and we got him to canter on a few nice stretches!
He has a big stride, but is very willing to go. He powers down the trail and is very easy-going horse to ride. He was a bit unsure of some of the bridges, but it didn't take much to convince him that it was okay, and he crossed them quietly. He is still nervous about hauling and tacking up, so we are working with him on that, but he is a great horse to ride. Very nice for an intermediate plus rider looking for a trail or pleasure horse.
