The story from her previous owners is that they brought Honey up from Missouri in March along with a few others. They said she was very sweet and affectionate when she arrived and that she was in good shape. When she was turned out with her trailer mates one of them was very aggressive and terrorized her, turning Honey into a very frightened horse very quickly.
Once moved into her own pen she turned back into her sweet self. So she will need her own space or non-aggressive pasture mates in her new home so as to keep her happy.
Her owners surrendered her as they already have their own horses and cannot afford to keep her. As well they felt she deserves a person of her own who can give her the time and attention that she needs. She can be much more than just a pasture mate.
