Annie has previously been ridden for pleasure riding and trails, but was off for over two years before her owner rescued her this past fall.
She is UTD on feet, teeth, deworming and vaccines. She had her teeth done by Dr. Chris at Greenbelt in Feb/March of 2015. She had her vaccines done then too, but she needs her booster (just got her basic shot done). She was dewormed in March 2015 - including tapeworm. The vet said other than needing to gain her muscle back, she's rehabilitating well and he had no concerns.
Annie was skin and bones when her owner rescued her and has come a long way. She is sound and has no vices. That being said, she has been out of work for about three years so she still needs some time to build her muscle before she can do full-time work. She is easy to groom and handle and is good for the vet and farrier. She gets along with other horses, but is low in the totem pole so needs a non-aggressive friend.
She will need a bit of time to settle into a new environment, but she is a level-headed mare with good manners is not spooky. She would make a lovely trail or pleasure horse once again and her owner says she would be great for a confident beginner or intermediate rider with a bit more of a refresher.
She is currently located in Chilliwack, but will be coming into the rescue soon. Her adoption fee is $500 with a trial period and a signed adoption contract. Please contact us if you are interested in Miss Annie!
