He officially went out for his sixth ride on the trails this afternoon and was a rock star. Usually he is quite nervous about the pre-ride process from the hauling to the tacking up, but today he was great. He stood quietly while he was groomed and didn't flinch for tacking.
After only a month he hardly shows any signs of his previous home - even his toes have grown out to a more comfortable length since being here. At this point, you wouldn't know that he had been ridden in a tie down and previously nervous about carrying a rider.
We are fairly surprised this handsome boy hasn't had more interest, but we aren't going to complain about him being here at the rescue. He is an absolute joy to have around and a wonderful boy to ride.
