We wanted to make a special post about this girl in particular because of her story, which began when J&M Acres Horse Rescue saw her at auction in the Fall of 2008 and rescued her from the fate of slaughter, which is where she was headed.
Back then, she was known as Jenny.
A year later she was returned and was re-adopted a couple months after that to a second home. They had her for a few months, wherein she turned 7 years old, but she was unfortunately returned in December as she hadn't really bonded with the family. So, Jenny found herself at J&M Acres a third time in her short life.
However, she was re-adopted a third time on January 1, 2013 after her adopter saw her on our website and immediately fell in love with her. She has had an amazing four and a half months at home so far. In the beginning, she was given the time to adjust and bond with her new mom, and because of that, she has already come leaps and bounds in her training - and she looks amazing!
We are happy to say that it seems third time is the charm and she finally found the right fit. Thank you to her adopter, Danika, for taking the time to understand her and to work with her. We are so happy for all the updates on her and to know that she is finally somewhere where she is safe and loved the way she deserves.
It is amazing what the right horse-human combination can lead to.
Congratulations Nikita on finally finding yours!
