Feature Dancer

Feature Dancer is a 14 year old, Standardbred gelding that was surrendered by his family who was no longer using him in the middle of December 2010.
We didn't have him for very long, but he was a very energetic and sweet (not to mention, gorgeous) boy and he was great to have here. When we got him in, Julie immediately thought of a friend of hers for him. She agreed to come out and meet him and, lo-and-behold, she subsequently adopted him at the beginning of January 2011 and he has since made quite the impression on his new mom! This is the letter she sent us: |

Thank you so much for my special * Feature Dancer* by *Puddle Dancer* by *Storm Dancer*; love all those great names....
It's been a year since putting down my beloved Peruvian. I needed something quiet and smooth after riding gaited horses for years. That was a big want!
Looking at horses was a pain, and having to get on strange horses... yikes! That is until Dancer was brought to my attention! and attention he got! He is well mannered, beautiful, fast and smooth with a "get where you want to go walk". Dancer marches right up our trails, sure footed, balanced and enjoying his self immensely! I am introducing him to many challenging trails, and hes always willing and eager to please. Dancer braves to go out on his own or with his old trail buddy, Eyore from North Vancouver. The weather has been cooperating lately and we are very much enjoying ourselves.
He loves to stand and admire the great view of the Fraser Valley and the gorgeous Golden Ears Mountains, that Maple Ridge is known for. Maple Ridge has a reputation of the best multi-use trail network in the Lower Mainland.
Dancer came along at the perfect time. He is so very much loved and spoiled not only by me but the rest of the horsey family.
Thanks Julie and Amy! May all your rescue horses have many, many, *happy trails*.
