Adopted: October 4, 2012
Tough is now at home in Alberta with her new sister, Portia. She is settling in well so far. Her adoptee is planning on doing lots of bonding exercises and some ground-driving with her and then getting her going more under-saddle. We look forward to the progress!
AGE: 4 y/o (DOB:07/08/2008)
RIDER LEVEL: Intermediate
SUITABILITY: English/Western Pleasure, Trails, Dressage, Jumping, etc.
ADOPTION FEE: $500
She is a 4 y/o, approx 15hh Standardbred mare. Very sweet and quiet - typical Standy. She had 15 starts, earning just over $6,000. Her last race was 08/18/2012. She is sound and sane, but too slow to continue her racing career. She is green-broke to ride. Not nervous, just a little unsure. She got the hang of going forward right away - even did a little trotting/pacing for me. She is responsive to leg and rein and even backs. Not bad for her first go! She will be a fantastic jumper, dressage or hunter prospect or pleasure mount. Would be suitable for an intermediate rider as a show prospect, or possibly an advanced beginner for pleasure and trails.
