Adopted: January 1, 2013
Jenny is officially in a new home! They have decided to call her Nikita, meaning victorious. Things are going beautifully so far. They are already bonding and working under-saddle very well so far. We are thrilled to see what this year will bring for them!
She is a very sweet girl and has good ground manners, but it sounds like she will take advantage if you let her. She is very willing and has a good attitude underneath; she just needs someone who can bring it out in her by giving her a job.
Jenny is sound and healthy and was very well cared for her in her previous home. She is a well put together little mare who loads and hauls easily, is quiet to halter and polite to handle. She gets along well with the other horses, is good for the farrier, etc. She is also broke to ride, and when we assessed her prior to her adoption, we found her to be calm and collected with a rider. She has great forward motion and is very soft in the bit. She knows how to give to pressure and a little bit about flexing.
She is available free to an experienced home with the option for an extended trial period. Having ridden her myself in the past, I know she is a great girl who just needs some work. We are sad to see her here again and we know she is confused, so we are really hoping to find her a new home where she will be loved and have her training finished off.
