Nelly has been settling in great at her new home and has already made best friends with their mare, Mocha, who she follows around everywhere ♡ The family cannot say enough good things about her and know her to be an extremely sweet mare. She is fitting in great with her new herd and getting lots of spoiling, which she more than deserves. Congratulations sweet girl!

Nelly is a 2008 Thoroughbred mare standing around 15.3hh with a nice build. She is registered as Swift Tuttle(no papers). She hasn't been ridden since Sept 2014 so needs a refresher, but suitable for a confident beginner or intermediate rider.
When we had assessed her prior to her last adoption, back in September 2014, it had been two years since she was ridden before then and we found Nelly to be "beautiful to tack; super quiet to saddle and bridle. She was good leaving the other horses and was easy to handle walking down the road to the ring, even with rush hour traffic passing us. Once we got in the ring, she was quiet to mount and was very eager to go forward. She is green so needs to learn to balance and flex, but she walks/trots/canters and has a lovely stride. She was a little forward but no buck, bolt, spook, etc. Really willing girl who tried very hard!" She will once again need a refresher, but she is suitable for a confident beginner or intermediate rider.
She is a gorgeous mare and, at only 7 years old, she still has lots of life in her. She would be an excellent partner for an intermediate rider looking for a lifelong friend and a nice project to finish off. She responds well to a gentle but firm hand and has some good get-up-and-go. This girl has a very loveable and quiet personality that would especially suit the role of a family and trail horse.
She is currently located in Maple Ridge. Her adoption fee is $500 to an approved home with a signed adoption agreement and a trial period. Contact us or submit an adoption application today if you are interested in her!
