Adopted: March 27, 2013
Indy is doing great at his new home and is a happy cheeky boy! His adopter has him going Western and has kept in touch with his previous owner over the years, which we think is fantastic :)
His current owners got him off of the jumping circuit two years ago – he was ridden very hard and has some very minimal arthritis in his back hocks, which made him no longer suitable for jumping. They brought him home and trained him Western two years ago. He goes very well, drops his head and is much happier as a Western pleasure/trail horse. He had a flexion test six months ago and was fine. Never had any swollen hocks or any other soundness issues since he was switched over to Western.
His owners are looking to re-home him due to personal reasons and would like to do through J&M Acres and donate his $500 adoption fee to us. The family loves him and wants to ensure that he has the best home. His ideal new owner would be an intermediate rider wanting to hit the trails or do some Western pleasure. No jumping.
He is currently located in Victoria. Any potential homes need to submit an adoption application and we will put you in touch with his owners if you have further questions or if you wish to meet him.
