Folly is a 10 y/o Thoroughbred mare. Her registered name is Big R’s Girl. Will get height info.
Her owner has had her since she was 4 y/o and came off the track. Folly is gentle and has good ground manners. She is broke to ride, but is a very energetic mare. Her owner was riding her at Campbell Valley Park and in the arena during the summer, but has since lost her nerve. She is turning 59 years old this year and Folly is just too much horse for her now. She has lunged her several times in the past month, but hasn’t ridden her.
We had someone out to test-drive her who said that she was lovely, has great ground manners, is respectful, smooth and pays attention under saddle and that she is very responsive and genuine. They said that Folly moves nicely and is light in the bridle and is very elegant under-saddle. She is in great shape and has excellent gaits and is sound and healthy.
Folly will remain at their facility in Langley until she is rehomed. The farm does have a small indoor arena which would allow a potential adopter to lunge or ride her before making a decision.
