Adopted: November 23, 2011
After being at the rescue for five months recovering from a bowed tendon, Dodge has finally found the loving home he has been waiting for and that we all know he deserves!
They are absolutely in love with him and think he is fantastic. The don't mind waiting a while longer for his bow to heal as they think he is a joy to be around. His adoptees say he is great with the kids; letting them come right up to him and pet his face as well as being careful not to bump into them or step on them.
I couldn't be happier for this big boy. He definitely deserves a family to love him and I am so glad he finally found them!
AGE: 10 y/o
BREED: Quarter Horse x
HEIGHT: 15.1hh approx.
He originally came in as a scared and nervous boy, but he has come along a ton since being under our volunteers care. He is a sweet, well-mannered boy who is great for bathing, hosing, grooming and easy to halter, handle and catch. He gets along well with other horses and is good for the farrier.
He is broke to ride, but came in with bowed tendon in his right front that is still healing. The latest from the vet is that he will need another two months of stall rest, but it might be up to a year before he can be a riding horse again.
It would be so amazing if someone could take this lovely boy home and spend the time working with him. ♥ He certainly is a gem!
