The students at Montroyal raised close to $400 in June 2010 to support J&M Acres Horse Rescue.

To garner enthusiasm for the cause four horses paid a visit to the school to give the kids a chance to learn abouthorses and see the horses in action. The kids were able to get up close and personal with the horses.

Kriss Pless brought her horse Lucy who had been rescued by J&M Acres.RaeAnn Johnston who teaches at Montroyal brought her horse Kahlua and Alice Arnold brought her horse Kiki and her pony Starr. For every donation the kids made they were given a ticket for a draw to wina horse experience at the barn! The lucky recipient this year was Annika M who was taken out to the barnwhere she was able to groom the horses, feed them and go out for a trail ride!

This was the 3rd year in a row and the kids look forward to the horses coming and finding out about the horse thatthey had a part in saving. This year their money helped to save a poor little blue roan pony named Noss who was saved at the auction.
