Amorante (now named Amigo) has been doing great at his new home! His adoptee says:

"He's definitely apart of our family already. He's super sweet, mellow, and level headed. My 5yr old daughter climbs up the fence every day to feed him grass and he will stand there with his head down for pets from her. I have about a 150 foot driveway and every morning when my almost 9 yr old son walks to school Amigo will walk with him along the fence beside him. He's awesome with the other horses, never kicked up any fuss around them and he's not afraid of my great danes which new horses usually are, lol. I feel very confident when I say this, he has his FOREVER home here. He is not going anywhere, he's here to stay. Thank you so much for everything you have done for me. He is truly amazing!"

We are so happy to hear this and want to also thank YOU for offering him such a loving home!

Vegas has been officially adopted by J&M Acres Horse Rescue. We have been looking for a while now to take on a new resident for pleasure riding that is safe for family members and Vegas certainly fits the bill! Both of us have become attached to her and she is just a sweet, sweet young lady.

Dan officially went home the day after the auction. He now lives just up the street from the rescue along with another drafty boy and a couple other J&M Acres adoptees from over the years. The family absolutely adores him and he is fitting in great already, in fact, right into their other drafts clothes! :)

Lily was re-homed through the rescue and went straight from her previous owners into her new, adoptive home. She has been doing wonderfully there and the family loves her.

Africa went back home with a lady who owned him when he was 4 years old! She had rescued him back then and started his training before circumstances forced her to have to re-home him. She was very upset when she had to sell him and had visited him at that home many years later to find that he was doing great, and he has been in good homes ever since from what I have pieced together of his history.

When she saw him on our site, she said she couldn't help but feel that he should be back with her. She told me "if I could of he never would of left". She lost one of her Thoroughbred mares to colic last year and hasn't yet gotten another.

We are very happy for him - especially with his 19th birthday on the 21st of May!

Adele is an amazing mare who survived a $12,000 colic surgery and lives to tell the tale! She has since been adopted with most of her after-surgery-care complete and she is still recovering well at home.

Got a message from someone who used to own Max for four years. Needless to say, she adopted him back and he is now with them and will be living out the rest of his days under their watchful eye.
